Infant found buried behind home; 17-year-old charged Associated Press Published on: 03/11/08 Lexington, Ga. — Authorities in Oglethorpe County have charged a young woman with murder after the remains of her newborn son were found buried in a shallow grave behind her home. Oglethorpe County Sheriff Mike Smith said 17-year-old Tiffany Nicole Mack Wilson has admitted she gave birth to a boy about a month ago and that the infant was alive when she left him on the back porch of her home near Winterville and went to school. Smith said the child was dead when she returned home, so she buried him the backyard. Smith said Wilson's father discovered the infant's grave Sunday when he checked to see why birds were flocking behind the house. Georgia Bureau of Investigation special agent in charge Mike Ayers said authorities had not yet determined the exact date of the child's birth and death. www.ajc.com/metro/content/metro/stories/2008/03/11/infant_0311.html

I doubt her parents knew she was pregnant. Thats such a problem. If this girl would of just told one of her parents they could of put the baby up for adoption or have it given away to a family or friend for a period of time.
This girl didn't have to tell her parents. She could of told a friend, another mother, another relative, somebody else who could of assisted her in an adoption.
This girl didn't have to tell anybody. She could of had the baby and dropped it off at a local fire station or hospital.
But to do something like this, which is so senseless. Unfortunately, its a crime. Its murder. Its sad. But its an ultimate crime that deserves the death penalty.
